- A 254-page monograph resulting from sustained research effort between 2013-2020. The book offers the most wide-ranging study yet accomplished of this important Impressionist by addressing all his activities – which included philately, garden design, orchid-breeding, yacht racing and design, and collecting pictures – for the first time. This involved the discovery and exploitation of archives relevant to these activities (such as the British Library’s Philatelic Collection), that were previously under-utilised by art historians, as well as work in national and local archives in France in 2015-2017, including the Archives nationales, the Musée d’Orsay, and the municipal archives in Yerres.
