- Co-edited by Fergusson and Elliott, this project ran over a five-year period, generating three volumes totalling 79 essays. Fergusson’s AHRC Leadership Fellow’s Award funded three conferences in Princeton and Edinburgh at which contributors read drafts of their essays. These were subsequently reviewed by both editors and returned for revisions. Fergusson co-authored the introduction and contributed three further essays to the collection – two in Volume 2, and one in Volume 3.
