- Result of collaboration of Rafati (UoA) with Prof Ahmad Kamal Idris (Universiti Teknologi Malaysia). The findings have been already used by researchers in petroleum engineering (e.g. Qi Liu from China University of Petroleum-Beijing used modified magnetite nanoparticles for stabilizing foam flooding for enhanced oil recovery) as well as in other engineering disciplines (e.g. by Yi Lu from University of Queensland to formulate colloidal particle-stabilized foam to control the coal spontaneous combustion and by Tavakkolizadeh from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad to develop a concrete foam stabilised by magnetic particles for structural engineering).
