- Double-weighted statement
- This output was the result of a sustained research effort over six years involving numerous visits to the British Library. The purpose was to produce the first analysis of Waters’ oeuvre within competing complex contexts. The argument developed was dependent upon the completion of a sustained investigation into feminist and queer discourse in order to situate Waters’ fictions as responding to theoretical and cultural debates concerning gender and sexuality from the nineteenth century to the present.
