- This very recently presented technique, was immediately showcased in the world’s leading news publication dedicated to the consumer VR industry RoadToVR (tiny.cc/kmwkmz), as contrary to previous binocular methods, has negligible computational cost, being able to process images in milliseconds rather than seconds. The publicly available source code of our experimentally derived psychophysical model for the ubiquitous Unity3D game engine (tiny.cc/jooosz), has enabled for the first time rendering for the binocular domain as a means to increase contrast in VR headsets, leading to more consistent and predictable contrast enhancement.
