- By combining our expertise in accessible design and workshop-based data gathering methods, this paper represents a significant jump in understanding of how people perceive accessibility within software design and development, evidenced by its CHI 2019 Honourable Mention Award (top 5% of conference submissions). This paper was a direct output from knowledge exchange activities and is a direct response to research questions posed in the development of international web accessibility policy carried out by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). The work highlighted significant changes required in the development of future Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG3) with these differences now implemented.
