- Double-weighted statement
- This work is considered appropriate for double-weighting because of its extended scale as a long-form output demonstrating sustained research effort over the duration of the project which ran from 1995 through to the publication of the report in 2019. The research not only generated this major publication but also around 80,000 items now included in the National Monuments Record for England (National Excavation Index). The in-depth examination of themes prompted by the government’s planning policy guidance on archaeology issued in 1990 represents a complex piece of research involving numerous diverse and sometimes difficult to access primary sources.
