- Additional information
- For the first time, a nonlinear wave theory is utilized to determine wave loads on submerged horizontal decks, i.e. it does not require assuming waves are small-amplitude. This study contributes to current challenges raised by the increase in intensity and frequency of large storms globally. This work is followed by several invited talks (at Shanghai Jiao Tong University of China in 2017; University of Manchester in 2018, UK; and the Norway-Scotland Waves Symposium in Oslo, Norway; all by invitation only), and has led into international collaboration with Harbin Engineering University of China.
