- Dr Katherine E Brown is the sole author of this 90,000-word book. It arises from original research on countering radicalisation policies targeting Muslim communities across five countries. The project was supported by: the Strategic Studies Institute, the British Academy, Radicalisation Awareness Network (EU), RUSI, UN Women and UNHCHR. The range of primary sources is extensive, including fieldwork, forty interviews with practitioners and activists, as well as primary legal, policy, and evaluation documentation. As an extended study of the subject material, the book took over 12 months to write.
