- This paper provides to foundation for the development of cost effective and scalable emulators, applicable to real-life microgrids, enabling testing of various efficient energy management strategies. Compared with other complex emulators, this is relatively cheap and scalable to real-life microgrids, enabling testing of various efficient energy management strategies. Technical University Cluj-Napoca is main collaborator, where experimental work was carried out (part of programme “Partnerships in priority domains – PNII”, MEN – UEFISCDI, project 53/01.07.2014).
