- Double-weighted statement
- The culmination of over thirty years’ research, this book (the first volume of a two-volume biography) offers the fullest biographical account of the early years of the writer seen by many as the twentieth century's greatest poet. It draws on unpublished sources from many archives across Britain, North America, and Europe, as well as on specially conducted interviews and many rediscovered published pieces. The American edition was published in 2015 by Farrar, Straus & Giroux, and the biography was a BBC Radio 4 Book of the Week.
