- 'Neolithic Britain' is a substantial monograph (100,000+ words), which represents the culmination of Thomas' work on the period over the past thirty years. Although intended to be accessible to a broad readership, it none the less synthesises both published and unpublished evidence in order to produce new insights. Taken as a whole, the book presents an entirely novel and unfamiliar narrative for the British Neolithic, which has emerged from my own sustained research activity and a decade of intensive dialogue and collaboration with my co-author. Combining chronological and thematic sections, it also offers an innovative format for archaeological publication.
