- This is among the first few studies to investigate sensitivity analysis and model-based uncertainty quantification of turbulence modelling for a complex, three-dimensional air vehicle. Certainly, it is the first study to deal with an extra layer of complexity, derived from structural flexibility effects. Carried out within NATO Science and Technology Organisation, the work had positive impact on Noesis Solutions N.V. as praised by M. Panzeri (Research and Innovation Manager. Phone: +39-334-8064246. Email: marco.panzeri@noesissolutions.com), “proofing and validating an innovative algorithm employed in aerospace, automobile and electronic sectors”. This work also led to €700k funding to Southampton from EU Horizon 2020 (769237).
