- Voice user interfaces are now commonplace in homes where they provide a valuable way of interacting with smart devices, and where they are used by whole families including younger users. This paper presented a novel design technique, developed specifically for teenagers, to design voice interfaces in this context, which others can easily apply. Through the application of this technique with a group of teenagers the design technique was found to work effectively and identified a range of new application ideas, with associated conversational designs, and range of important new insights for others working in this context to consider.
