- This 120,000-word monograph results from an extensive research effort supported by a Leverhulme Trust MRF. Described as ‘sophisticated and original’ and ‘wide-ranging in topics covered and scope of reference’, the book develops a distinctive view of forgiveness and its relation to agapic love, justice, humility and hope. This involved the collection and analysis of an extensive range of sources from philosophy, theology, biblical studies and psychology, as well as memoirs and fiction. The book, which consists of nine chapters, includes material developed from five independently published articles or chapters eligible for, but not submitted to, REF 2021.
