- This paper proposes a series of architectural changes to increase the throughput of the Linux Foundation's Hyperledger Fabric 1.4 permissioned blockchain. Unlike prior work, which only explored the effect of varying input parameters, we re-architect the system to eliminate wasted work and incorporate better algorithms. This increases performance by a factor of more than 6. The work was reported on by the popular press (Coin Telegraph.com) and one of the proposed improvements has already been incorporated into Hyperledger Fabric 2.0. The paper has become a standard reference in the field.
