- This monograph is the first book-length treatment of the British Bronze Age in almost 40 years. It is the result of 10 years of work bringing together data from several thousand unpublished excavations and published sites. Unpublished site reports were accessed via the online Archaeology Data Service or were obtained from local Historic Environment Records and individual archaeological units. In all cases, both the excavation reports and all specialist reports were analysed to examine key areas of Bronze Age life including settlement and landscape, material culture and exchange, and death and the body.
