- The study led to a collaboration with Nanfang Hospital at Southern Medical School, Guangzhou and a funded exchange visit (UK-GCRF). The visit enabled identification of promising lateral flow sampling and testing platforms for near patient clinical diagnostics. This established preliminary design work for simplified sampling for biosensors and led to a funded one year project for testing for neutralising patient antibodies against drug antibodies (Development of a bioluminescence assay probe: NIHR200325) as a joint project with a spinout company (Camstech Ltd). The work is continued in a 3 year project to produce a clinical device (i4i Connect, NIHR201645).
