- Double-weighted statement
- This is the first English-language monograph to focus on contemporary Turkish German cinema. It offers original research and new perspectives on a broad range of fiction and documentary films. The book (pp. 228) consists of eight chapters focusing on the films of a number of auteurs including Thomas Arslan, Aysun Bademsoy, Seyhan Derin and Christian Petzold. Each of the chapters are equivalent in scope and length to a journal article, but one of the central aims of the book is to discuss films, which have not been considered together previously, within the context of twentieth century global politics.
