- Kennedy - The (international) ICISS trial compared two treatments in a rare condition of infancy (infantile spasms) in an RCT, the standard treatment being the one that was more effective in the preceding (UK) UKISS trial. The design of both trials drew heavily on a preceding international RCT comparing two treatments for another rare condition of infancy (post-haemorrhagic ventricular dilation) in which I provided the design, secured the funding, and led. I also played a substantial role in the writing of the published manuscripts of the UKISS and ICISS trials.
