- ‘Sincerity in Medieval English Language and Literature’ is the culmination of a sustained research programme (building on previous publications, and over a long period of time), which analyses a large body of primary material covering the very early to the late Middle Ages, inclusive of English, French and Norse language-texts. The theme, sincerity, is approached using a variety of perspectives, including historical semantics and pragmatics, cultural history and literary close reading.
