- This article relates to my leading role in an international project to scientifically validate an OECD test guideline on the reproductive toxicity assessment of chemicals to freshwater invertebrates. On behalf of the UK, I led the scientific conceptualisation and draft methodology of this guideline in cooperation with colleagues in Denmark, France and Germany. I also led the UK government (Defra) funding acquisition for this work, supervised experimental work in UK laboratories and was actively involved in writing this article and the associated guideline (review and editing).
