- Additional information
- This paper is the primary research output of the InnovateUK grant MiTREC (103502) and presented the first design of a renewable biogas microturbine combustor that can operate on a range of biofuels at the 12kWe size. The product is designed to meet the needs of decentralised off-grid power generation in remote locations such as required for telecommunication towers in Sub Saharan Africa. The design has subsequently been experimentally validated and commercialised by Bladon Jets (UK) Limited with an expected annual market size of 500 pa and sales revenue of £10M per annum (Mike Whiteman, Chief Engineer, mike.whiteman@bladonjets.com).
