- Characterisation of dynamic structural properties is crucial for structural design and structural health monitoring in civil, aerospace, energy, and automotive engineering applications. The paper presented a data processing technique to utilise the latest instrument in full-field metrology. A novel approach was presented the first time to carry out Operational Modal Analysis from high-speed full-field metrology. Shape feature of the full-field vibration displacement was utilised to extract dynamic structural characteristics from only the response data. The method was mathematically formatted and verified and validated by controlled experiments. It offers a new and efficient tool for dynamic structural analysis
