- The book focuses on regulation, policy, practice and organisational management in the media industries of Northern Europe to evaluate the material impact of labour practices and resource use in the production and dissemination of media content. The monograph is based on extensive primary research on policy and production practice in television, film, publishing and digital media. The data, collected over a two year period, consists of interviews with policy-makers and practitioners from eight European countries, document analysis, textual analysis and ethnographic observation. The outcome is a monograph that contributes an innovative intervention to both media studies and the environmental humanities
