- In collaboration with Siemens, this paper promoted Cardiff University’s role in ammonia combustion, with international partners such as Siemens, HiETA Technologies, Yara, and the Welsh Government supporting a successful £1.9M EPSRC proposal (EP/T009314/1) on ammonia gas turbines. This work attracted a further 6 PhD projects and led to Cardiff University's inclusion in a Policy Briefing on ammonia by the Royal Society (due December 2020; delayed until Spring 2021 as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic).
