- Process of Seeded granulation was introduced by Rahmanian et al. (2011) as a novel method for producing granules with uniform properties. Simulation of the seeded granulation is carried out using DEM and validated. Cohesion number is also introduced for the first time for scale-up of the process. The work has applications in the chemical, pharmaceutical and agro-chemical industries. This is follow-up of the a concluded EPSRC (GR/S25029/01) project which was in collaboration of Borax Europe Ltd., Hosokawa Micron B.V. (HMBV), Pfizer Global R&D, and P&G. The work was later supported financially by P&G, HMBV and Nemaura Pharma Ltd and HEIF.
