- Author contribution statement
- Smith played a key role in the paper by doing much of the heavy-lifting, speciflcally computing, re-computing, and analysing the Spectral Energy Distribution fits for all of the many thousands of galaxies in the Herschel-ATLAS sample, before making a significant contribution of original text to the manuscript (both in the published form and earlier drafts). This is reflected by Smith's name being second in the author list.
