- This monograph is based on extensive archival research conducted over four years. A broad range of primary printed sources, including newspapers, sermons and pamphlets were examined as part of a systematic and exhaustive approach, using digital and physical repositories in archives and libraries in the UK, Ireland, and US. Manuscripts were consulted in several archives, including the Royal Irish Academy, Marsh's Library, Trinity College Dublin, University College Dublin Library, National Library of Ireland, British Library. This ensured an approach of considerable depth to provide the first comprehensive study of the development of Irish political print culture from 1688 to 1714.
