- This paper presents an investigation into improving the performance of active noise control in mobile devices by using the remote microphone method. The work was a collaboration with researchers from Samsung Electronics in Korea. The research will enable the reduction in noise experienced by mobile phone users and thus has significant potential to reduce noise exposure. There are now in excess of 5-billion mobile phone users worldwide (https://www.gsmaintelligence.com) and Samsung is the industry leader with a 20.3% share of the market (https://press.trendforce.com/node/view/3067.html), this research thus has the scope for significant impact though the co-authors at Samsung (Dr Eunmi Oh sait@samsung.com).
