- Author contribution statement
- I was on the paper-writing team for this, the discovery paper for the first gravitational wave detection. I contributed particularly to the writing of the introduction section and the conclusions section, and was a member of the small group of senior scientists who supervised the overall structure of the paper, making sure that all important points were covered somewhere, that quoted results were consistent across the paper, and that the statistical significance was properly justified.
