- Destination Italy: Representing Migration in Contemporary Media and Narrative (Peter Lang, 2015), co-edited by Guido Bonsaver, Emma Bond, and Federico Faloppa, is the result of a two-year interdisciplinary research project into representations of migration to Italy. Bringing together scholars from a wide range of fields, including practitioners and activists, the volume highlights the complexities of transnational movement, and how media, literature, and cinema shape and contribute to the perception of migrants within a culture.
The co-editors shared one third of the work for the editorial elements of the volume. They co-wrote the introduction and worked together to shape the vision of the volume, which included in-depth engagement with contributors. Guido Bonsaver was the sole author of “Accented voices in contemporary Italian cinema” in the ‘Cinema’ section of the volume.
