- First paper to assess future droughts in the main international Iberian river basins. It showed that all available climate simulations, for a high emission future, project an intensification of drought conditions. Furthermore, it showed that historical performance of the climate models is uncorrelated with future projections. Led to a fellowship award on compound drought and heat-waves. Led to an invitation to speak at the policy & industry conference "Zoom smart Cities" (https://www.zoomsmartcities.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/ZSC2018_agenda.pdf) and the CIWEM (Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management) Responsible Water Management conference.
