- Over many years, I was one of the lead developers of one of the searches used to identify this event. I, along with PhD students and postdocs at Cardiff, was responsible for running the analysis and using the results to validate the statistical significance of the detection. The results from our search are key elements of the paper, and are described in Section 3 and presented in the left hand plot in Figure 2.
