- Double-weighted statement
- This book draws on almost a decade of research to provide the first major survey-based analysis of the channels for effective diffusion of innovation in and to Africa in the formal and informal sectors. It combines in-depth studies of 30 cases with rigorous statistical analyses of specifically designed multi-wave, multi-country, firm-level surveys. Some 500 firms were surveyed in Ghana in 2013 and 2015-16, creating a rare longitudinal dataset; 300 firms were surveyed in Tanzania in 2015-16. In-depth studies of digital innovation in Kenya and the impact of the 4th Industrial Revolution on African innovation and development were also undertaken.
