- Double-weighted statement
- After Childhood represents the culmination of several research projects and over a decade of conceptual development; drawing together substantial, multi-year, multidisciplinary and comparative studies of children's lives in the UK and Brazil. Bringing together novel and complex research methods that have taken years to develop and refine - notably the use of nanoscientific sampling, social media harvesting and apps alongside more 'traditional' qualitative research methods. Includes material from over 500 hours of interviews with young people and adult key professionals, 50 hours of workshops, and the equivalent of several months' worth of formal and informal observational data.
