- This 80,000-word monograph is the culmination of a period of sustained research effort of over 3 years duration. This monograph required the collection and analysis of a large quantity of complex qualitative and documentary data to document the Roma/Gypsy minority experiences with discrimination in Central and East-European society. This included ethnographic and archival work in several European countries: 42 interviews with middle-class professionals and over 100 days of collection and close scrutiny of national and European policy and legal documents on Roma/Gypsy integration.
