- This project was funded by the EPSRC (EP/H501258/1) and longstanding collaborator, BAE Systems. The research led to a follow-up EPSRC project (EP/L505444/1) with BAE Systems (contact: clive.simmonds@baesystems.com). The ideas and technologies generated during the project were immediately transferred to industry in an EU project entitled ‘Building an Expertise Network for an Efficient Innovation and Training’, under the INTERREG Programme France (Channel) England, Ref 4177. The research led to international collaboration with the Institute of Modern Design at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China.
