- This paper presents an original end-to-end approach to automate the design and fabrication process of self-folding origami structures. Given a desired 3-D model, the paper introduces an algorithmic design methodology that automatically generates a layout printing design of the origami meta-material. The work is continuing as a collaboration with MIT (contact: Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science). Resulted in an EPSRC DTP PhD Scholarship (2020) with MIT collaborator and in a US patent No. 10470799 (2019).
