- This article (supported by EPSRC grant EP/J017671/1) reported the first realization of all-electronic switchable external cavity THz QCL. A similar laser regime has never been realized so far. These results opened new scenario for spectroscopic applications and for the realization of sub-ps mode locked THz laser. The importance of this achievement has been acknowledged worldwide, as witnessed by the invited talk received by the PI to the prestigious conference SPIE Optics+Photonics that was held in USA in August 2018. These results were presented in the selective and peer-reviewed conferences CLEO USA, CLEO/Europe-EQEC, and OTST in 2017.
