- This research published in the Journal of Cleaner Production, is the first study carried out to assess and rank the relative sustainability of 13 road noise barriers (RNB) types using three multicriteria analysis techniques. The relative sustainability rankings and ranking per sustainability factor (social, technical, environmental, and economic) of the 13 RNB types resulted in a sustainability performance profile using average data from European countries. It provided stakeholders benchmarks for criteria comparison, a data bank to evaluate the sustainability of noise barrier options, saving them time and money.
