- This work’s idea led to a Wellcome Trust grant in UK in 2014-2015 (£29,837). It motivated many other papers e.g. https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/abstract/document/7116541 and https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/abstract/document/8854321. Many international talks were invited, e.g. IEEE IGRSS 2015 (https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/7327059), RSPSoc, NCEO and CEOI-ST Joint Annual Conference 2015 (https://openpub.fmach.it/handle/10449/26382#.Xnj-LBP7TXE), SilviLaser 2015 (https://openpub.fmach.it/retrieve/handle/10449/33865/35523/Coomes_Silvilaser_2015.pdf), etc. It contributed to Prof. C.-B. Schonlieb and Prof. D. Coomes’ promotion from reader to full professor at Cambridge University, Dr Juheon Lee’s PhD at Cambridge University and his postdoc position at Stanford University, and Dr Xiaohao Cai’s permanent lectureship position in ECS at the University of Southampton.
