- Double-weighted statement
- This monograph on contemporary representations of capitalism is the result of four years of collaborative analysis and theorising across the social sciences and humanities. To provide a critical analysis of changing patterns in cognitive mapping in the contemporary moment, the authors coordinated interpretation of multiple films and TV series, artworks and theoretical texts. Methods and concepts from social theory, literary criticism, film studies and art theory were creatively combined, in the conviction that both close readings of individual works and surveys of fields were required. A monograph rather than articles was necessary to sustain the analysis and argument.
