- France in Flux highlights space and topography as key concerns of contemporary French culture, and explores reasons why this might be the case. Welch’s work as co-editor involved conceptualising the scope and aims of the collection, selecting the participant authors, and organising a preparatory workshop to ensure the coherence of the volume and identify connections between contributions. Welch collaborated with Blatt on editing all chapters and liaising with contributors during the editing process; co-authored the introductory essay (4824 words); and was sole author of the lead chapter ('Angels of History: Looking Back at Spatial Planning in the Mission photographique de la DATAR', 7925 words).
