- The computational implementation of a social science theory of culture (Hofstede) in this work has underpinned Aylett's subsequent UKRI-funded SoCoRo project. We now see that high-performing autism can be reframed as a cultural difference rather than as a disability, with major consequences for support approaches. This is much more in line with changing environments and people to be autism sensitive rather than putting the onus on those with autism to 'fit-in'.
