- This paper led to the award of a £1.1M EPSRC GCRF grant (EP/P028403/1, 2017-2020), and was the first to demonstrate the use of simple biosensors for the measurement of DNA in wastewater, paving the way to the use of portable sensors for human health biomarkers in wastewater-based epidemiology applications.
