- <24> This paper is one of the foundational papers on spiking neural networks from the group of Dr. Suresh Sundaram (Indian Institute of Science) and Dr. Shirin Dora and helped them establish their expertise in the area. It was also one of the ideas presented by Dr. Suresh Sundaram in his keynote talk at iCAST, 2020 (Qingdao, China). Subsequently, it became the basis of a PhD for two of Dr. Suresh Sundaram’s students namely, Abeegithan Jeyasothy and Mohammed Thousif. These students have published 1 conference and 1 journals since the publication of this paper.
