- Double-weighted statement
- This is a major piece of primary research of substantial length (512pp). It comprises over 520, mostly unpublished documents, discovered by Dadson over several years in a variety of archives in the UK, Spain, and Portugal. The sheer complexity of the process of compilation and transcription of manuscripts should be highlighted. Moreover, the political, diplomatic, and cultural role of their author, Salinas, means that ? taken together and with Dadson?s contextual editorial illumination ? they contribute significantly to the understanding of an important historical period.
