- ‘Introduction‘ and ‘Heart of Darkness: Thomas Pennant and Roman Britain’ in Mary-Ann Constantine and Nigel Leask, eds, Enlightenment Travel and British Identities: Thomas Pennant’s Tours in Scotland and Wales (Anthem Press, 2017)
Chapter and Introduction from a jointly-edited collection of essays exploring the travels, writings and influence of the Welsh naturalist and antiquarian Thomas Pennant. This was a key output from the AHRC-funded Curious Travellers project: https:/curioustravellers.ac.uk/en/. The author contributions were derived from British Academy and AHRC funded workshops organized by Constantine and Leask in Aberystwyth and Glasgow. Constantine, supported by CAWCS staff, managed the chapter submissions and all textual copy-editing; Leask and the Glasgow team organized the visual input to the volume.
