- Narrating Karma and Rebirth was the product of a three-year British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship (2009-12). It offers analysis of a broad range of early Buddhist and Jain literature, often accessed in Indic languages, and including materials that had received minimal prior scholarly attention, Jain narratives in particular. The project involved working through a significant range of Jain sources in order to locate those of particular relevance.
